Daniel Sackheim is best known for his work as a Director and Executive Producer on such critically acclaimed series as The Americans, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan and House M.D. He received a 2017 Emmy nomination for Directing on Ozark, a category he won in ‘94 for NYPD Blue.
Some of Dan’s more recent directing credits include Game of Thrones, The First, Better Call Saul, The Leftovers, The Man in the High Castle, The Walking Dead, and the soon to premier third season of True Detective, which begins airing on January 13th, 2019.
Dan most recently completed work on the Season of the new M. Night Shamalon series, entitled “Servant”, which will stream on the new Apple Television service in 2019.
In addition to his television work, Dan directed the Sony feature film "The Glass House," starring Leelee Sobieski, Diane Lane and Stellan Skarsgard, and produced "The X-Files Movie: Fight The Future" for 20th Century Fox.

He has also collaborated with award winning Vanity Fair Photographer, Patrick Ecclesine (Faces of Sunset Blvd) @ecclesinephoto on the first ever, large scale photographic novel entitled “Slow Kiss”. It is their attempt at bringing the infamous 1956 Noir screenplay, by a blacklisted hollywood writer, to life using only still images.
